Looks like Pongal 2021 is going to be the festival audience are looking forward to. With the lock down getting extended there will be more waiting days for the movie lovers as theaters and shootings will be continued to be shut down. Productions of various movies are getting extended and the production houses are making announcements of change in their release plans.
It is known that Super Star Rajnikanth is currently playing lead role in the movie Annaatthe in the direction of Siva. Keerthy Suresh, Khushboo, Meena are playing female leads in the movie. Annaatthe is scheduled for Deepavali 2020 release initially but now due to delay in production, producers have decided to shift the release to Pongal 2021. Sun Pictures are producing this project.
Rajnikanth’s last two movies Petta, Darbar got released for Sankranthi 2019 and 2020 respectively but failed to satisfy audience. Now again he is trying to score a hit by releasing in this festive season.
News is that Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s Acharya too pushed back to Sankranthi 2021 which means there is a possibility of clash between the two Super Stars.
