The covid-19 pandemic has spread across the world to over 190 countries and it is spreading its wings far wider than any microbe had done in the human history so far. It left every county with no option but to Lockdown their entire streets and filter the possible suspects and sending them to quarantine.
This country has adopted a quite different plan than others as they passed a new rule in the county regarding the Novel Corona Virus. In Turkmenistan, the word ‘coronavirus’ has been removed from the national vocabulary and the one who spells the world ‘Corona’ out, will be jailed.
The polices will be roaming among the people in Muftis and if they hear anyone blurting out the word ‘Corona Virus’, the person will get immediately arrested. So, this country is completely unaware of the happenings in the outside world due to COVID-19 as there is no communication. This policy may sound strange and unethical, but it actually reduced unnecessary tension among the people.
The Turkmenistan government, led by President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov, was one of the fastest moving countries in combatting the pandemic by closing its borders in early February.
