The scam that had taken everyone by surprise in the recent times was ESI scam. It went so out of control that it took officials a lot of time to actually understand who was involved how and since when. The investigation on this is still going on and the convicts are not yet behind the bars. While this is on one side, Minister Jayaram confidently says that very soon Achennayudu will be going to jail.
Industrial Minister Gummanuru Jayaram was closely involved in busting out the scam and the follow-up afterwards. With the Vigilance Investigation, all the culprits will be sent to jail alongwith Ex Minister Achennayudu, said Jayaram. The main proof is the letter written to the Directors of ESI by Achennayudu.
All the bills were inflated and medicines were bought illegally. Only 3 organisations have come together in this scam of buying medical equipment on higher prices than market price. On the other hand, Achennayudu defended himself that he had sent Work Orders as per the instructions given to him and there’s nothing wrong in increasing prices as per nominations.
