Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy doesn’t want to take any chances on the ongoing AP capital issue. Chandra Babu has become highly unpredictable after that legislative council blow and Jagan wants to put the TDP supremo under extreme pressure. The other day, MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu visited the protesting farmers in the Amaravati region as a part of this strategy.
Today, under the leadership of the MLA of Chandragiri constituency, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, a meeting was held by the YSRCP people in Chandrababu’s home turf Naravaripalle. The ruling party expected 20,000 people in support of the ‘3 Capitals’ proposed by the YCPGovernment but the people that were presented are very low in numbers.
One of the reasons is because the TDP leaders who decided to stage a protest against the meeting at the NTR Statue in Tirupati got no Police permission and it is being said that the local TDP leaders explained the situation to the people very convincingly. They said, “the YSRCP people can hold a grand meeting but the opposition cannot question the way the ruling party politicizes the capital issue.”
Even the speech from the MLA was not influencing and the absence of prominent party leaders on the stage made the meeting turn very pale. If Jagan would have been present at the village, it would have been a different story.
