One of the producers of Nishabdham has recently revealed how Anushka grabbed a chance to play Sakshi in the movie.
During a media interaction for the movie’s promotion, Kona revealed that Anushka was not the first choice for this movie instead, he has written the script for another leading actress.
He went on to reveal that he narrated the script to Anushka during a flight journey from Mumbai to Hyderabad. He added that Anushka took a few days before agreeing to do the film.
Elaborating how the project worked out, Kona said, “Anushka was not the first choice for the lead role as I had written the script for another female superstar. When I was returning from Mumbai, I spotted Anushka on the same flight. The plane had a punctured tire and the flight was diverted to Chennai. During this time, I pitched the storyline of Nishabdham to her and within a week, she gave the final nod. Casting Anushka, who has been choosy about her projects since Bhaagamathie, worked to our advantage.”
On the other hand, Nishabdham teaser had received a fantastic response from the audience and everyone concluded that the film could be an intriguing suspense thriller. The teaser gave a glimpse of the film, “Everyone is a suspect”.
Directed by Hemant Madhukar, the highly-anticipated horror-thriller is all set to be released on January 31, 2020, in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, and English.
