This month banks will be shut for a record 11 days due to festivals and other reasons.

Banks were closed on April 1 as March 31 happens to be their annual accounts closing day.

In next 26 days, April 6 banks willl not fuction because of Ugadi festival. This will followed by Sunday, April 7.

April 11 is polling day and April 13 second Saturday followed by Sunday, the April 14.

April 17 is Mahavir Jayanthi and April 19 Good Friday.

April 21 is Sunday and April 27 last or fourth Saturday of the month and the following day Sunday, April 28.

Never in the past, had so many holidays cropped up in single month to put bank customers to difficulty.  On the other hand, the bankers too, perhaps, not got ‘jolly’ month in the past.
