MMTS trains are the lifelines of Hyderabad. One of the MMTS trains went on a head on collision with Kurnool – Secunderabad intercity express today near Kacheguda railway station. In this accident, around 30 people were injured and the MMTS loco pilot got stuck in between the two train engines.
Rescue operations were on progress to pull him out of the collision and in the mean time, emergency vehicles are helping the driver with the oxygen and the first aid. The strong metal is being cut with gas cutters and the officials are doing their best to rescue the loco pilot. First aid has been provided to all the injured victims and few of them were taken to the hospital.
Few trains which are scheduled in that route were redirected/cancelled. Telangana minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav rushed to the accident spot and spoke to the media saying that the government is trying its best to save the loco pilot. Talasani further mentioned that the government will investigate the accident and will report where the fault occurred.
