The concept of Grama Volunteers has been receiving an outrage from the opposition parties of Andhra Pradesh, since AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has introduced it.
Recently, TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu also questioned the state government that how can a salary of Rs. 5000 can be termed as a job and who is going to marry such guys? Along with Naidu, several others expressed their opinions on the similar lines of Naidu, on the social media.
While Jagan’s sole intention of introducing the concept of Grama Volunteers is to improve the employment opportunities, the concept has been hitting back at him for the less salary. So the dynamic CM is now planning to win over such negativity.

Reportedly, Jagan has decided to add another Rs. 3000 to the existing Rs. 5000 and thus take the total to Rs. 8000 and fix it as the monthly salary of the Grama Volunteers. Rs. 8000 can be considered as the starting and also reasonable salary in many of the private organisations.
So, Jagan is anticipating that the amendment would work well with the Grama Volunteers and thus the state government can retain the credit of providing employment opportunities to many, in a short time.
