Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is trying to make the path breaking scheme Arogya Sri, even better.
Late CM of United AP, YS Rajashekar Reddy has introduced “Arogya Sri”, which made him a demigod for lakhs of poor people across the Telugu states. Even after his death, the scheme has been continued even by the subsequent governments, unwilling to face the heat of the public. Such is the success, “Arogya Sri” witnessed in the Telugu states.
Now Jagan announced that the scheme is going to be revamped from April, next year. Speaking to the media, the young CM said that not only in AP, but the beneficiaries can also use Arogya Sri scheme in 150 super specialty hospitals which are located in other states.

He further stated that a total of 2000 diseases will be covered under Arogya Sri hereafter. Adding to it, the state government will also pay a monthly pension of Rs. 5000 for the patients, who are advised bed rest after a surgery.
It seems Jagan is betting big on “Arogya Sri” scheme, just like his father YSR. The latest development to the scheme is expected to bring a huge relief to the state government, amidst of anti-campaigns against the government after Kodela’s death and also 100-day rule.
