The ruling YSRCP has been putting up an invincible front ever since it came to power in 2019. The YSRCP and its members have been making sure that they have no enemies or rivals in the state, and have been doing everything in their power to shut down any naysayers. However, the YSRCP doesn’t seem to have been too careful when it came to making sure that things within the party are good enough in the first place.
Ever since the cabinet reshuffling took place in 2022, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has created a lot of rivals for himself within the party. Moreover, with the CM’s decision to not include a lot of the current sitting MLAs in the next elections has not sat well with them. Many of them are said to be looking to change their party as a result. One of those candidates is ex-Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha.
Sucharitha was made the Home Minister during her very first tenure as an MLA, which is a major achievement. But things went downhill after she was replaced in the cabinet reshuffling process. Now, she is one of the 40 sitting MLAs. When Sucharitha was made the Home Minister, she said that she wishes to be associated with Jagan and his party for the rest of her career. With Sucharitha now being unhappy in the YSRCP, she is said to be planning to the TDP very soon. So much for loyalty and words!
