Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu has been touring various districts of Andhra Pradesh for the past few weeks as part of his plan to finish touring every district and Mandal of the state within the next year. He began his tour of Bhadrachalam on Thursday and will be touring all the seven mandals of the district in the coming days.
Naidu was received at Mylavaram in the NTR district by TDP leaders and workers led by former minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao. The TDP chief reached the area by passing through Sathupalli and Aswaraopet in Telangana. He met with the flood victims of Velairpadu Mandal where he interacted with the victims.
Most of the flood victims infromed him of how they were neglected completely by the YSRCP government during the floods, and how they had not gotten any of the flood relief help from the government so far. The victims are said to have told Naidu that the government has intentionally ignored them, and directed the officials to not offer them help. They are said to have requested him to make sure that they get some sort of relief. On the other hand, Naidu is expected to spend the night in Bhadrachalam, and carry on with his tour of the district from Friday morning onwards.
