Senior film editor Gowtham Raju, who worked in over 1000 movies as an editor, passed away today (July 6) during the wee hours at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was 68.
As per reports, Raju breathed his last battling health issues. He had been fighting kidney ailments for the last couple of years and was admitted to a private hospital a few days ago for the same.
Born in 1954 in Tamil Nadu, Gowtham Raju started his film career with the director Jandhyala’s Nalugu Sthambalata in 1982. Some of his work includes Kick, Khaidi No 150, Race Gurram, Gopala Gopala and Adhurs, among others. The ace editor also won the Guinness World Record for working on over 1000 films. Apart from Telugu, he also worked in Tamil, Hindi, and other languages.
Several actors, artists and technicians, who were shocked with the demise of Gowtham Raju, took to social media to pay their last respects to the celebrated technician.
