Netflix had previously announced that the Hindi-language version of RRR will be streaming on the platform from the 3rd of June.
But cut to now, Netflix has preponed the OTT release date of RRR. The OTT platform had announced that the film will be streaming on the platform from 20 May.
The preponement is understandable, given that RRR’s south Indian language version will be streaming on ZEE5 from the 20th of this month.
Netflix simply wouldn’t have been willing to lose out on the potential audience pull if RRR arrives first on ZEE5 and then on Netflix.
“You said you couldn’t wait to see them and WE COULDN’T EITHER!! RRR 🐯❤️🔥 ARRIVES ON NETFLIX IN JUST 1̶3̶ ̶d̶a̶y̶s̶ ̶ 24 HOURS ” Netflix wrote as they confirmed that the film is premiering on the platform on May 20.
