The YSRCP government has decided to bring into effect the 13 new districts of Andhra Pradesh from April 4th, as opposed to the initial date of April 2nd. The 13 new districts have been carved out from the Lok Sabha constituencies existent in the state, taking the total number of districts to 26 in the state. Several new revenue divisions were created after the draft notification and some revenue mandals were also added or deleted from the draft proposal.
The government is now planning to write a letter to the Central government about the same, and inform in detail, about the districts. The concerned department has to send the file to the planning department in the Central government, to be notified and communicated to the rest of the departments.
The distribution of employees and the purchase of furniture for new districts is already completed, and the CM is expected to make the transfer of IAS and IPS officers for the new districts, with the notification in that capacity expected to be released after the final draft is released. The final draft is expected to be released in a couple of days.
