Ever Since Kavitha faced a shocking defeat in the recent Lok Sabha polls, she has been keeping a low profile and has been completely inactive in the politics and also away from party related works in TRS.
So to bring back the lost glory to her daughter, Telangana Chief Minister KCR is reportedly planning to send her to Rajya Sabha. As Kavitha had strong contacts during her tenure as an MP, she is expected to play a key role as a Rajya Sabha member and thus become active.
Adding to it, Kavitha being a family member of the ruling party, she may also ensure that no other leaders of Rajya Sabha quit the TRS and thus keep a tab on the activities of them, often.
Kavitha lost in Nizamabad constituency, for failing to bring the minimum support price for Turmeric crop. The farmers of the region strictly went against the CM’s daughter and made the BJP candidate Aravind win over her, upon the assurance of bringing MSP for Turmeric crops and establishment of turmeric board. But even the BJP leader is finding it tough to keep up his promise now, as neither the Centre nor the state government is reluctant to move towards it.
