The Telugu Desam Party, very much like its rival party YSRCP, is suffering very badly due to internal conflicts within the members of the party. At a time when the TDP should be united together, to increase the prospects of its winning the 2024 elections, the party is plagued by one member trying to overpower the other.
The latest conflict is between the members of the East Godavari’s Kakinada, in the Kakinada rural assembly constituency. Former finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and former deputy chief minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa are the two people who are at loggerheads with each other, with Chinarajappa reportedly trying to unseat the Pilli family, who are the in charge of the Kakinada rural assembly. Currently, former MLA Pilli Anantalakshmi is the TDP in charge of the constituency, who looks after the constituency, along with her husband, Pilli Sattibabu.
Chinarajappa is trying to unseat them, saying that the Pilli family is not strongly opposing the YSRCP because they are planning to shift to the party. The Pilli family is strongly denying these claims, saying that there’s not a pinch of truth to them. With both of them strongly opposing the other, this conflict is slowly getting worse, and it is now to be seen what action Chandrababu will take.
