Golden flowers (silver flowers plaited with gold) are usually used for worshipping only Gods and during other rituals related to Gods. They are never used to worship any person and have never been used in that way, until now. In Srikalahasti, in the Chittoor district, on Saturday, several government employees did the exact same thing, of worshipping Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, with golden flowers, drawing in a lot of criticism.
These government employees decided to worship Jagan that way, and even perform ‘paala abhishekam’ on the CM, after they came to know that Jagan has decided to announce a 23 per cent fitment and over the decision to hike the retirement age to 62. The employees said that this was way more than what they had expected, which made them immensely happy with the CM’s decision.
The employees also appreciated Jagan’s decision to give 5 per cent DA and the hiked PRC from January this year. While a section of employees worshipped Jagan this way, for giving them more than what they wanted, another section of the employees said that it is absolutely heinous to see God being insulted that way.
