After many hiccups, the shooting of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 was resumed and it has acquired a consistent pace now. This multi-starrer is a sequel to the 1996 film i.e. Kamal Haasan and Shankar’s blockbuster ‘Indian’, which featured Kamal Haasan in dual roles.
Inside news is that the plot of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 was revealed. It is heard that the sequel deals with various crimes on women in India. Shankar wants to showcase how the victims of women harassment suffer and how they should overcome if they come across these kind of nuisances.
The sources also reveal that there is a powerful flashback featuring the young Kamal Haasan in the pre-independence era.
The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Aishwarya Rajesh, Rakul Preet Singh and Siddarth in lead roles. Now, Samuthirakani is the new big addition to the film’s cast.
Indian 2 is produced by Lyca Productions. In the first look, which was released on the eve of Independence Day, Kamal Haasan is seen standing tall as the popular vigilante Senapathy amidst something that resembles skyscrapers painted in red. He is seen in khaki that resembles the attire of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
The estimated budget for Indian 2 is now said to be Rs 200 crore. It means the movie is expected to be simultaneously made in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam.
