Andhra Pradesh politics have heated up after a mob attacked TDP headquarters in Mangalagiri. The tense atmosphere at the TDP office is not calmed yet.
Police today halted the TDP leaders’ attempt to take the injured staff into the office. TDP MLC Nara Lokesh was outraged when police stopped people from coming in an ambulance outside the gate. He sat for a protest on the road as the ambulance was not allowed inside the TDP office.
Nara Lokesh got into an argument with the police about this incident. He was outraged, saying that police are covered by the YSRCP scarf. A scuffle broke out between the police and TDP leaders. Police rushed to the ambulance amid tensions as Lokesh attempted a dharna on the road.
Nara Lokesh, who consulted the injured activists, told them to be brave. He assured that the party would support them in all possible ways. Twenty people working in the TDP office, including TDP activists, were injured. Four were seriously injured and 16 sustained minor injuries. N Chandrababu Naidu and Lokesh consulted their families and extended their support.
