Pawan Kalyan gave a highly powerful speech at the pre-release event of Republic, recently, where the actor spoke about the ticket pricing issue in Andhra Pradesh, and spoke at length, about the YSRCP’s less than competent rule in Andhra Pradesh. While the actor spoke on behalf of the Telugu film industry, and in an attempt to ease the situation for them, his speech has resulted in more problems for the industry.
The YSRCP leaders and supporters were quick to pounce on the industry, for Pawan’s speech and opinions, and the situation got so bad that the industry had released an official statement that their opinions do not echo with that of Pawan’s, in order to do the necessary damage control. Subsequently, several big producers of Tollywood met with AP cinematography minister Perni Nani, to discuss the issue of ticket prices.
Today, several top producers from Tollywood met with Pawan, and have requested the actor turned politician to not speak anything regarding the industry, in public, here on, so that unnecessary problems don’t arise for them. Pawan too has given his word, saying that he wouldn’t talk about the industry and its issues in public hereon.
