It is customary to invite guests to good deeds at home. However, it is a common occurrence that not all the invited show up at the event. In a surprising incident, a bride sent a $240 (Rs 17,700) bill to a wedding guest who did not attend her reception dinner even after confirming that they’ll attend.
The bill is titled “No Call, No Show Guest”. The description reads, “Wedding Reception Dinner (No Show), while the unit price is set as ‘120’ and the quantity is 2.”
The notes section of the invoice says, “This invoice is being sent to you because you confirmed seat(s) at the wedding reception during the Final Headcount. The amount above is the cost of your individual seats. Because you didn’t call or give us proper notice that you wouldn’t be in attendance, this amount is that you owe us for paying for your seat(s) in advance.”
It adds, “You can pay via Zelle or PayPal. Please reach out to us and let us know which method of payment works for you. Thank you!”
The wedding guests, who didn’t turn up for the dinner, were shocked when they received a no show invoice from the bride. The picture of the bill is currently going viral on social media. Some netizens are incensed at this, while others respond in a funny way.
