Center has made the Covid-19 vaccine slot booking easier. People are no longer have to go to the Cowin application and web portals for booking the vaccine slot. This can be done easily through WhatsApp.
Paving a new era of citizen convenience, the Centre has introduced this service to book the slots easily on mobile phones within minutes. Besides this, downloading vaccination certificates can also be done through WhatsApp.
Taking to Twitter, Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya wrote on Tuesday, “Paving a new era of citizen convenience. Now, book COVID-19 vaccine slots easily on your phone within minutes.”
According to Will Cathcart, over 3 million people have downloaded their vaccination certificates through WhatsApp.
How to book slots via WhatsApp:
- Add MyGov Corona Helpdesk 9013151515 as a contact.
- Send ‘Book Slot’ to this number on WhatsApp.
- Enter the 6-digit OTP you get via SMS.
- In the WhatsApp chat, choose your preferred date and location, basis pin code and vaccine type.
- Get confirmation and visit the vaccination centre on the day of your appointment.
