Raja Raja Chora is a romantic comedy entertainer movie directed by Hasith Goli which has Sree Vishnu, Megha Akash, and Sunaina are in the lead roles along with Ravi Babu, Tanikella Bharani, Ajay Gosh, Srikanth Iyengar, Gangavva, and many others in supporting roles.

Story:

Bhaskar(Sree Vishnu) who is a Xerox shop helper and a part-time burglar, is married to Vidya (Sunaina) and has a son. But his greed for better settlement in life leads him into trouble with a police officer (Ravi Babu). He also acts as a software engineer and loves another girl named Sanjana (Megha Akash). There is a chain of events that connect with each other which later becomes a cat-mouse chase between the characters. How will Vishnu come out of all this mess? Whom will he choose towards the end? Needs to be seen in the film.

What about on-screen performances?

Sree Vishnu is brilliant as the naughty thief. His comic timing is on point and all his comedy scenes are the biggest highlights of the film. He is funny, especially when he says those English lines. He is equally good in the emotional scenes as well.

Megha Akash is cute and has done her role well, especially in the temple scene and when she gets to know the truth towards the end.

Sunaina gets a meaty role as Sree Vishnu’s wife and she does a pretty decent job. Her character adds the required emotional depth to the film.

Ravi Babu’s track is hilarious and he has done a terrific job in all the scenes. His comedy timing also works wonders in the film.

Gangavva, Srikanth Iyyengar, Ajay Ghosh, Vasu Inturi, Kadambari Kiran, Indu, and others are good in their respective roles and make us laugh here and there.

What about off-screen talents?

Debut director, Hasith Goli has picked a very interesting and entertaining backdrop for his first film and does a good job with his presentation. He perfectly balances the comedy and emotions in the film. But there is a lot of lag in the middle portions which he should have taken care of. His screenplay too is engaging in parts and the way he brings together the chain of events happening is appreciable.

Vivek Sagar’s background score is the other best thing in the film. “Raja Raju Vacche” song is the best one of the album.

Veda Raman Sankaran’s camera work is impressive. Some of his shots are so unique, especially while Sree Visnu is driving his scooty in the mythological getup.

Editing by Viplav Nyshadam should have been more crisper. Almost about 15-20 minutes of the film could have been trimmed.

What’s Hot?

  • Sree Vishnu’s Performance
  • Background Score
  • Comedy Scenes
  • Pre Interval & Interval Scene
  • Climax

What’s Not?

  • Lag In The Second Half
  • Few Stretched Out Scenes
  • Lengthy Run Time

Verdict: Overall with a decent first half and an emotional second half, ‘Raja Raja Chora’ is a passable film. Watch it if you ignore the lag in between and can sit through the lengthy run time.
