Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Anil Kumar Yadav is known to be a staunch follower of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s. He even keeps referring to himself as Jagan’s Bhakt, and on many occasions came to the CM’sd defence, taking on anyone necessary. However, Anil maintained his distance from Jagan during Jagan’s tour of the Polavaram project area, on Tuesday.
Anil usually is seen standing very next to Jagan during any public events, but him standing paces away from Jagan during this tour, while other Ministers were right beside Jagan, has raised a lot of questions. Speculations are rife that all’s not well between Jagan and Anil, because Jagan is not satisfied with Anil’s performance in the irrigation department, and the way he’s handling the Krishna river dispute.
As a result, it is also being said that Anil might be replaced in his post. On the other hand, sources close to Anil are saying that this is not true and that Anil continues to be very close to the CM. They are also saying that the CM is not dissatisfied with Anil’s performance and that everything’s fine between them. It is now to be seen what’s true and what’s not.
