When YS Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he told all of his cabinet ministers that their posts are not permanent and that they would be replaced by new ministers after two and a half years term, in December 2021. It was also made clear that only those who performed well would be retained in the cabinet.
With December 2021 just six months away, AP Cabinet Ministers are already worried about the longevity of their posts. While Ministers like Botsa Satyanarayana, Adimulapu Suresh, K Kanna Babu, P Anil Kumar Yadav, Kodali Nani, Mekapati Gautam Reddy and Avanti Srinivas are trying to salvage their positions as much as they can, by being active in their posts, other ministers have almost given up on their hopes for being retained in their positions.
Jagan has now given a major breather for all of his ministers, as he said that he wouldn’t reshuffle his cabinet until June 2022, as he feels that no one has been able to contribute much due to the coronavirus pandemic. He is also said to have made clear that the ministers would have to give up their posts in June 2022. With everyone getting six more months to prove themselves, all ministers are currently in a relaxed state.
