MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi had earlier made some controversial statements against Hindus, which led to a severe backlash on the social media.
As the ruling party of Telangana is maintaining friendly relations with the MIM, the issue has not been highlighted by any of the media houses. But it seems, the BJP leaders are not in a mood to give up on it.
Earlier, though BJP leader Basa Satyanarayana had tried to complain against the MIM leader, the police ignored it and did not file any case. Adding to it, they said that there is no such provocative content in Akbaruddin’s comments. Now another BJP leader Beti Mahendar Reddy took the issue to the next level. He collected all the video clippings of Akbaruddin and submitted in his petition filed before the court.
Along with the appropriate sections, as the petitioner also said that the MIM leader tried to threaten the followers of one religion, the Court included Section 506 too, for which there will be no bail.

If Akbaruddin is sent to jail, then it would be the victory of BJP and the ruling party will find it embarrassing, as it failed to take any action against Owaisi, even after such derogatory comments against a religion and its followers.
