The government has released fresh guidelines earlier in March for effective containment of coronavirus as cases continue to rise. All states and union territories have been instructed to strictly follow ‘Test-Track-Treat’ protocol, ensure COVID-19 appropriate behaviour, abide by local restrictions and improve the pace of COVID-19 vaccination.
With the ease of lockdown regulations across the nation currently, Containment Zones have already been divided by the district authorities at the micro level. Within the demarcated Containment Zones, containment measures, as prescribed by MoHFW, shall be scrupulously followed.
In a correspondence to all states and Union Territories, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla said that immunization against Covid, in the current situation, is crucial in breaking the chain of transmission.
The facilitation of Covid-related lockdown standards has prompted jamming in certain business sectors and different spots, the Center said on Saturday, as It ordains states to follow the “critical” five-fold strategy of Covid appropriate conduct, test-track-treat and immunization to forestall the spread of the infection prior to lifting the lockdown.
To re-emphasise, Covid-appropriate behaviour constitutes mandatory use of masks, hand hygiene, social distancing and proper ventilation of closed spaces too, Ajay Bhalla added.
