With the adverse impact of COVID-19 second wave, medical aid became unavailable to so many of the daily-wage workers and poor. Film shootings were halted abruptly once again recently and cinema halls are still inoperative. It now became the conscious responsibility of many B town celebs, filmmakers, and other high profile actors to come forward in tough times. Now another Hindi star to jump the bandwagon is Ajay Devgn.
He took up charitable deeds to be a help to a huge number of people from both within and outside the film fraternity. It is well known that Ajay’s NY Foundation assisted the BMC in arranging a 20-bed ICU facility in Central Mumbai in the month of May and once again on June 11, the foundation organised a vaccination programme in a Mumbai suburb.
The vaccination camp ensured atleast 400-odd people got their covid doses. Those vaccinated included workers employed with the entertainment industry and media professionals.
A media person wholeheartedly expressed gratitude towards NY Foundation for getting his vaccine done. “The last few months have been hard on everyone around but more so on us. Our jobs require us to roam the field to get our daily quota of photographs/articles. Without the vaccination, we were putting our lives in peril”, he added.
