Amid continuing suspense over the political future of former minister Etela Rajender, his meetings with state BJP leaders have taken precedence. It is learned that BJP leaders had a ‘secret’ meeting at the farmhouse of BJP leader Vivek Venkataswamy in Moinabad. The view is that he is taking steps to join the BJP. However, it is learned that Etela Rajender recently met former BJP MPs AP Jitender Reddy and Vivek Venkataswamy, who had previously been active in the TRS and are now in the BJP.
Also, it is being speculated that BJP is offering a Rajya Sabha seat to Etela and an MLA ticket to Etela’s wife to contest in Huzurabad Assembly bypolls if he joins BJP.
