The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to impose a night curfew between 10 pm and 5 am, starting today till this month-end to curb the spread of coronavirus. During night curfew, movement of people is strictly prohibited.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the state reported over 10,759 fresh Covid-19 cases, which is the single largest number in a day after September 10. The Covid-19 cases in AP inched closer to the one million.
As of now, the total number of infections cases stand at 9,97,462 with 7,541 deaths reported in the state. The overall positivity rate is over 6.27 percent. As many as 9,20,082 have been discharged while 66,944 are being treated in the hospitals.
As per the data, Andhra Pradesh is among the top five states in the country, which are contributing maximum numbers of cases per single day.
