Sadineni Yamini was very active in the Telugu Desam Party, until the 2019 general elections. She even said that the reason behind TDP’s enormous loss was Nara Lokesh. Following the loss of TDP in those elections, Yamini shifted her base to the Bharatiya Janata Party, without much fanfare.
Interestingly, when Yamini was a part of TDP, she used her husband’s surname to appease the members of the TDP, by posing as a person belonging to the Kamma community. After joining the BJP though, Yamini is now using her maiden name, Sharma, to appease the pro-Hindutva ideologies of the BJP.
Yamini is now going by Yamini Sharma and is even taking an active part in Brahmin Social media groups and is actively advocating and fighting for the cause of Hinduism and Brahminism. Despite her actions, Yamini is now not as prominent as she used to be in the media previously. She has been relegated to occasional statements in the media.
Considering that there’s a good number of people belonging to the Brahmin community in Tirupati, everyone thought that the BJP would use Yamini as part of their campaign, but the BJP leaders have chosen to campaign themselves, without giving the spotlight to anyone else.
The BJP had brought in a film actress previously, for their campaign, but she ended up praising Jana Sena’s Pawan Kalyan, instead of highlighting BJP and its aims and plans.
