South star Dhanush has wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film Atrangi Re. While announcing the same on social media, the 37-year-old actor shared a photo with director Aanand Rai and writer, Himanshu Sharma and thanked them. Earlier on Sunday, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has completed the shooting of the Atrangi Re.
The love drama reunites the Kollywood star, Rai and Sharma after their 2013 significant hit “Raanjhanaa”. As per reports, Atrangi Re is a cross-cultural love story. Sara Ali Khan is playing a double role in the film, where she will be seen romancing Dhanush and Akshay.
The film went on floors in March 2020, before the Covid-19 pandemic. However, with the sudden outbreak, the shot was halted.
The makers resumed filming Atrangi Re in Madurai from October 2020 and followed it up with a schedule in Delhi. With music by music maestro AR Rahman, the film is set to be released on August 6.
