The notification for the NagarjunaSagar by-election has been released. Against this backdrop, BJP state President Bandi Sanjay has decided to do Padayatra in Nagarjunasagar. He is holding meetings with Nallagonda district leaders at the BJP office in Hyderabad.
However, the BJP leaders haven’t finalized candidate for this position yet. It seems that TRS has decided to announce their candidate only after the BJP announces its candidate. It is learned that a couple of leaders reportedly asked Bandi Sanjay to give them the ticket.
By-election in Nagarjunasagar was inevitable with the death of TRS MLA Nomula Narsimhaiya. With this, the Congress party focused on this constituency. Congress senior leader Jana Reddy lost to Nomula Narsimhaiya in the previous election. This time too the Congress party has decided to put him in the fray. The Congress party has declared Janareddy as the Congress candidate for Nagarjunasagar.
