Dangal fame actress Fatima Sana Shaikh has been brought on board by makers in the Hindi remake of Tamil hit film ‘Aruvi’. The remake will be helmed by E. Niwas, who has his credits as a director for films such as ‘Shool’, ‘Dum’, and ‘Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’ in the past.
The 2017 Tamil film features actress Aditi Balan in the lead role. Balan’s protagonist Aruvi was considered a progressive, future symbol of feminism by the movie buffs and viewers. The Hindi remake, to be directed by E. Niwas. The thriller produced under Applause Entertainment banner in association with Faith Film, is scheduled to kick start in June 2021.
