As BJP was able to show an impact across the country and retained in the power in the elections, its impact in AP was quite disappointing. The party lost deposits in almost all the constituencies it contested in the state. So, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is now concentrating on Andhra Pradesh and is trying to woo all the prominent leaders of other parties.
Especially, BJP is concentrating on TDP leaders, so that it can occupy the position of the main opposition in the state. Regarding this, four Rajya Sabha MPs of TDP, already joined in the party earlier and several other former MLAs and MPs of TDP are planning to shift to BJP.
The Lotus party gave Sujana Chowdary, the responsibility of bringing TDP leaders into the party. As TDP earlier gave tickets to the local leaders of Guntur, Sujana has managed to be the leader of all such TDP candidates and is now trying to convince them to join in BJP.

In this regard, Bapatla TDP Incharge, Annam Sathish Prabhakar is planning to join BJP, by resigning to his MLC position. TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu believed in Sathish and offered him Bapatla ticket twice. Even though he lost both the times, Naidu still offered him an MLC. But as Sathish shares a good rapport with Sujana, he now decided to quit the party.
Along with him, TV Rao, Samba Siva Rao and a few other TDP leaders of Guntur district are in the queue to join BJP, under the leadership of Sujana Chowdary.
