Starring Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles, Uppena is setting new records in terms of box office collections. The Buchi Babu Sana directorial is already the highest grossing Telugu film featuring a debut hero and it is showing no signs of slowing down just yet.
The latest we hear is that a top Bollywood production house has acquired the Hindi remake rights of Uppena by shelling out a mammoth amount. Mythri Movie Makers, who bankrolled Uppena are said to have made a fortune from the Hindi rights alone.
Another interesting update is that young Bollywood actors, Ishaan Khatter, and Ananya Panday are in talks for the Hindi remake of Uppena.
Ishaan and Ananya are expected to come on-board for the project and the shooting will commence once the principle technical team is finalized.
Mythri Movie Makers persisted on releasing Uppena in theatres despite receiving offers from digital streaming platforms and their decision is paying rich dividends now.
