The first phase of panchayat elections was held in Andhra Pradesh. According to reliable information, the YCP supporters won the highest number of seats in the first phase of the panchayat elections.
It seems like the YCP has won 80 per cent of the seats and around 20 per cent of seats were won by TDP members and others.
The consensus was won by almost all YCP supporters. Elections were held for 2692 villages on Tuesday in the first phase. The results of 2294 villages were released by one o’clock on Tuesday midnight.
The TDP leaders alleged that many of the candidates they supported were defeated by a narrow margin. They demanded recounting in the respective areas.
