Needless to say, ‘The Family Man-2’ webseries directed by duo Raj and DK is a much awaited project in the recent times. Although makers announced via a short clip that The Family Man Season 2 would premiere on Amazon Prime video on February 12 this year, the release date was deferred in an untimely twist. Just like the previous season, the new chapter starring Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni seem to deliver a captivating narrative, which was evident from the poster. Subsequent to the row of Amazon prime video’s much-acclaimed series Mirzapur and Tandav, it has indefinitely postponed the release of their next big venture.
Reportedly the actual reason behind the OTT brand’s decision is that it has been under siege in India as the most successful shows Mirzapur and Tandav purportedly hurted religious sentiments of Hindus and sullied the image of certain communities. During these circumstances, Amazon Prime Video founders are of the opinion that it would be unfavourable to release The Family Man-2 webseries. The trailer which was scheduled to release on January 19 will now be out no sooner depending on the new streaming date.
The web show will also feature Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Seema Biswas, Darshan Kumar, Sharad Kelkar, Sunny Hinduja, Shreya Dhanwantary, Shahab Ali, Vedant Sinha and Mahek Thakur.
