The makers of Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer ‘Durgavati’ made a title change lately. It is evident that they titled ‘Durgamati The Myth’, as per the new poster. The reason for the film’s name change has not been disclosed presently. Bhumi Pednekar is seen in an absolutely new avatar in the poster.Recently, Akshay’s film Laxmii Bomb too was changed to ‘Laxmii’ due to an objection from Hindutva bigots.
While sharing the new poster, Bhumi wrote, ‘Coming … Durgamati.’ In this poster, Bhumi is seen looking from a mirror in an intense look. Seeing this picture, it is as if this character appears to be waiting to take revenge.
Sharing the film’s poster, Akshay Kumar also notified the film’s release date. “The film is slated to release on December 11 on the streaming giant Amazon Prime Video. Are you ready? Meet Durgamati on Prime on December 11,” he posted.
It is a Hindi remake of the Telugu film ‘Bhaagamathie’ originally played by Anushka Shetty. The horror thriller directed by Ashok also stars Arshad Warsi and Karan Kapadia. The flick is presented jointly by Gulshan kumar and Akshay’s Cape of good films and bankrolled by abundantia entertainment production.
