The previous government of Andhra Pradesh had sent out buses to all those interested in visiting Polavaram Project at the time, and also made the necessary arragements for those visiting the project.
However, the current government is now acting in a starkly opposite manner, in the way that they have called for the police department to arrest all those who want to visit the project. Members of the CPI recently went to see how far the project has been completed, but the Police department had deployed its personnel in the way, leading to the arrest of everyone who went to visit the project.
The visit of the CPI members to the Polavaram Project was not a publicized one, but after the arrests, it has become a very public one, without the intention of becoming so.
What is baffling many is why the government is causing hinderances to those who visit the project, when the government is repeatedly gloating about the way the project is being completed at a steadfast pace. If this really was the case, the government should be more proactive in encouraging more visits, so that people would spread the talk of how well the project is being taken care of.
With the government making sure that no one visits the project, it is only bringing a lot of negative attention towards itself, making people wonder about the reality of the progress of the Polavaram project.
