The things for the BJP are different in Andhra Pradesh, when compared to its position in Telangana.

As there is no big negativity towards the BJP and there are no promises made that are yet to be fulfilled, the national party enjoys a decent following in Telangana, which was proved in the recent Lok Sabha elections, when the party won 4 MP seats.

But that’s not at all the case with Andhra Pradesh. The state is angry on both the national parties-Congress and BJP, for not keeping up the promises.

While Congress is still facing the heat for bifurcating the Telugu states, BJP is in threat for not giving special category status to the state, as promised in AP reorganization act. That was the reason for both the parties, unable to win even a single seat in the elections and even lost deposits in several constituencies.

Now, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is stressing on achieving special status. Referring to his statements, BJP leader and spokesperson S Vishnu Vardhan Reddy said that the Centre is not going to give special status to AP under any circumstances. Knowing this, Jagan is still trying to fool the people.

Not stopping there, the BJP leader confidently said that the party will grow as a strong alternative to the YSRCP and thus form the government by 2024.

“Several MLAs and senior leaders of various parties are in touch with the BJP and the party is going to emerge as a strong opposition in the coming days,” Reddy said.

Forget about forming the government, but it’s impossible for BJP to at least prove its existence in the state, if at all it neglects special status, even by the next elections. So, it would be better if the national party stick to Telangana, and plan the strategies accordingly, as it has good scope to make it big in the new state rather than in AP, where its chapter remains closed, if it continues to neglect special status.
