Within hours of CM KCR announcing that care should be taken as a huge number of coronavirus cases were being registered, about 1,500 people gathered for a dinner party on Friday at the Falaknuma Taj Palace in the old city.
The entire palace was crowded with guests. Many celebrities, industrialists, and politicians attended the ceremony. Ministers and other dignitaries from the AP were also present at the ceremony.
It is learned that YSRCP leader and Rajya Sabha member MP Vijayasai Reddy had reserved the palace for the birthday celebration of the granddaughter of Aurobindo Pharma chief.
Criticisms have been leveled at the police for not paying attention to the large number of guests who attended the ceremony in the wake of the corona.
