Revenue Commissioner Arjuna Rao suspended five superintendents and 13 employees at Indrakeeladri temple. Arjuna Rao issued the suspension order on the basis of a report submitted by the ACB on corruption irregularities in the last three days of ACB raids.
The Revenue Commissioner directed the EO of Durga temple to suspend five superintendents and 8 members from all 7 divisions. The ACB report said there were massive irregularities in the food donation, ticket sales, and sari divisions.
Superintendents of stores, housekeeping, food donations, shop leases, and supervising departments were suspended. Also, the suspension was imposed on the staff in the section of darshan tickets, and offerings section.
EO Suresh Kumar has been the focal point of all the corruption, irregularities, and controversies that have been looming over Indrakeeladri for years. There are criticisms that all the corruption in the temple happened with the support of Revenue Minister Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao. EO Suresh Babu is immersed in the services of VIPs, VVIPs, and ruling party leaders ignoring the devotees.
