It has been a year since Jagan Mohan was sworn in as the Chief Minister of the Andhra Pradesh and in these 365 days, he took many sensational decisions. First things first, Jagan’s victory and the reception from the AP people are just phenomenal. He came into power within 9 years from the establishment of the party and made many promises to the people and in fact, he succeeded in their implementation as well.
Now, the Navaratnalu plays a major role in this 1-year rule of Jagan. Though they turned out as an instant hit and also they happened to be his biggest weakness. Apart from Navatanalu, there is nothing new to feature in his rule. Jagan firmly believed that the successful implementation of Navaratnalu would save him from anything and that is his biggest mistake.
Already the state was in full of debts by the time Jagan became the CM and for his many welfare schemes & freebies, another 80,000 crore rupees added to those debts. His sand policy became an utter flop one and due to this, for six months the sand mining works were stopped. The liquor ban and the mandatory English medium has become controversial without proper explanation and purpose behind their proposal.
Most importantly, when Jagan activates his revenge mode, he just acts like a monarch. The capital shift proposal, targeting specific leaders, and dethroning SEC from his post are just a few examples of his many controversial decisions. As a perfect finishing to 1 year full of criticisms, the high court gave 4 back to back blows for Jagan’s government.
So, Jagan needs to cope with his impatience and should stop giving freebies which no longer would keep the good name intact. Just show the difference between you and the leaders in the past, Mr.Jagan Mohan Reddy.
