YSR Congress party’s undeclared politically affiliated film Yatra 2 had a failed theatrical run as the film couldn’t even recover the production costs. The film’s OTT release was then delayed for unannounced reasons.
But now, a month before Andhra Pradesh polls are set to be held, the film has been made available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The makers of Yatra 2 have announced that their film is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. “explore the remarkable odyssey of #Yatra2 , the story of a People’s Leader, now streaming exclusively on” the social media statement from the team read on the occasion.
This is being seen as a strategical move by the ruling party to bring their pro-YCP film on OTT precisely a month before the state heads for polls. After the failed theatrical run, can Yatra 2 fare any better on OTT? We have to wait and watch.
