We know many people are infected with Covid-19 after being vaccinated. As a result, several are expressing doubts about the effectiveness of the vaccine.
With many having doubts about the vaccine, the important thing we need to know is that the vaccine does not prevent Coronavirus. It gives us strength in fighting the virus when it enters the body by stimulating the immune system and prevents the virus from spreading to other cells.
Experts say the vaccine can take up to 45 days to work effectively. As per the reports, if anyone is infected with the virus within this period, they will recover quickly, and casualties can be reduced.
It is known Covaxin and Covishield are the two Covid-19 vaccines that are currently being used in the nationwide vaccination drive.
So far, India administered 10,03,02,745 people with the first dose of Covishield vaccine and only 17,145 (0.02 per cent), was infected among them. Of the 1,57,32,754 people who took the second dose of Covshield, only 5,014 (0.03 percent) infected with the virus.
As of now, 93,56,436 people have taken the first dose of the Covaxin vaccine, of which only 4,208 (0.04 percent) have been infected with Covid-19. Of the 17,37,178 people who took the second dose of Covaxin, only 695 (0.04 percent) infected with the virus.
