The counting of the votes in Andhra Pradesh municipalities and municipal corporations is ongoing at various centres.
By the time this article is written, the ruling YSRC is making inroads into former CM N Chandrababu Naidu’s stronghold. The Jagan Mohan Reddy’s party has won 19 of the total 25 wards at Kuppam municipality.
Going by the details, the YSRC won 10 seats of 20 in Jaggaiahpet municipality of Krishna district. TDP won 13 seats of a total of 20 in Darsi municipality. YSRCP sweeps Penukonda civic polls by winning 18 of 20 wards.
The ruling party won 15 wards and TDP 5 of the total 20 wards at Kamalapuram panchayat in the Kadapa district.
On the other side, the Andhra Pradesh high court directed the State Election Commission (SEC) on Tuesday to record the counting process of votes polled in the election to Kuppam municipality and submit it to the court. Watch this space for more details on polls.
