The YSRCP is holding a grand two-day plenary, which began today, at the Acharya Nagarjuna University. This is the party’s first plenary after the party came to power in 2019. The party couldn’t conduct its plenary in the last couple of years due to the coronavirus pandemic. The entire party cadre was highly excited about the event, which seems to have started on a good note.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the YSRCP is the only party to have fulfilled every election promise it made, before coming to power in 2019. He said that the YSRCP members carry their manifesto to date, and consider it as a Bhagavad Gita, Bible, or Quran, unlike other parties, which tear their manifesto after coming to power.
Jagan also took the stage to launch an attack against the Telugu Desam Party, and Nara Chandrababu Naidu, calling the politician a leader of corruption. He said that the Chandrababu regime didn’t manage to do anything impactful in the state during their regime. On the other hand, the YSRCP did face a setback, with Jagan’s mother Vijayamma officially announcing her resignation from the party on the occasion, clarifying that she has now decided to be by her daughter YS Sharmila, who established a party of her own in Telangana.
