The one bold decision, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy took after forming the government, is not to encourage any defections.
YSRCP got a huge mandate in the recent elections, with 151 seats in hand. With such a huge victory, Jagan has every chance to attract the leaders of TDP into his party and completely scrap the opposition party in the state. Telangana Chief Minister KCR was able to do it perfectly and so is able to enjoy the supreme power in Telangana, with no notable competition.
Jagan being a close associate of KCR was anticipated to follow the latter. But, shockingly, the young CM announced that he is not going to invite the leaders from any other parties, unless such leaders resign to their current posts. The decision acted as a great relief to TDP, as none of its leaders went into the YSRCP.
However, a few of the TDP leaders still chose to quit the party and joined in BJP. Four Rajya Sabha MPs of TDP recently joined in the Lotus Party, which shook the Cycle party and its chief Chandrababu Naidu. Shockingly, it is now revealed that, even YSRCP is not happy with the four MPs leaving TDP.

Responding about the defections, Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram said that the Vice President Venkaiah Naidu should not have permitted the defection of four MPs and instead, he would have taken a tough stand against them.
As the four MPs have become close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and also Amit Shah, their bonding is sending wrong signals to the YSRCP MPs at the national level. That could be the reason for Sitaram’s statement about the four MPs.
