The social or digital media campaign unleashed in 2019 general elections appears taking the battles to new level to lure the voters. And, the YSRCP, which launched campaigns with title ‘Praja theerpu – Bye bye Babu”, apparently receiving tremendous response as well trending in several social media platforms.
According to an official press release of the party, the campaign which was launched jointly by the YSRCP and the Indian Political Action Committee, had an innovative ‘digital clock clicking’ exact time left for the AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Though, the clock was initially set at the party’s headquarters in state’s Amaravati capital later it was installed in all the 175 assembly constituencies, the party official release claimed. The idea behind the campaign was to ensure the most innovative slogan reaching every household in the state.
Even, the party appears jubilant as the ‘one liners’ of the party leader Y S Rajasekhara Reddy also going down well with the people, akin to that of his late father Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
Meanwhile, the party cadre seems to be pumped up with success stories in social media warfare victories and unprecedented crowds that their leader is drawing. They were also jubilant over as their leader’s promises looks more realistic than difficult ones.
But, how far the social media successes will help the party to convert them to votes one has to wait and see. However, the party is leaving no stone unturned by aggressively pushing the party leadership campaign coverage with videos, visuals and other info on several social media platforms.
Whether it was new way of creating psychological warfare to mesmerize the people, especially the gullible voters, one may have to wait till the poll results are out.
But, as of now, the social and digital media push of party’s poll campaign apparently, brought new hope for the party’s victory as well realizing their dream to see their leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy as the next Chief Minister of the state.
